This gives us a forward balance of $6797.55. The CD’s are worth $29,039.17, giving NASC a net worth of $35,836.72 plus gold coins on hand. The drop is due to gold purchases.

RECORDING SECRETARY B Albertus Hoogeveen
Due to the absence of the Recording Secretary at the January Board meeting, no minutes were available for approval..

HISTORIAN - George Moore III Nothing new.

ANA - Walter Ostromecki (absent)
Have we sent a request to the ANA for a table? What is the cost of a wooden nickel or dollar for the ANA table? The Long Beach Coin Club has 17 people signed up as volunteers, NASC has 12 signed up as volunteers. We need a dozen people for the opening of the ANA Convention on Tuesday. Three quarters of the bourse tables are sold. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing will be present. They will have a special recognition for the 125
th anniversary of the ANA.
Greg was given information about the opening for the TCN. There will be special recognition on Tuesday for volunteers. All day volunteers get a $15 voucher to cover some expenses. There are 14 exhibitors so far. On Friday and Saturday there will be a Character Artist who will draw character representation of individuals. There is no charge for YN’s and Committee members, everyone else will pay a fee for the service. USPS will be there as well with a special cancellation for the 125
th anniversary of ANA. Don Berry has made a special patch for the boy scouts. June 17th is the deadline for getting information into the Convention Program. NASC will be part of the Treasure Trivia program. Glendale and Verdugo Hill Coin Clubs will hold a joint meeting at the hotel. Jeff Oxman will be the speaker. The Ancient Coin Club of Los Angeles will be celebrating their 50th anniversary at the Convention. They are expecting a large crowd. Walter says they are expecting a crowd of over 6501 attendees. We need to get ANA information into the TCN.
Don moved, Bob seconded that we make 2500 wooden nickels or dollars for the ANA Convention table. Motion carried.
NASC logo on one side and the website on the other side plus ANA 125
th anniversary logo.

AWARDS - Open
Joyce has resigned here position as chairman due to the passing of Lee. Phil is looking for someone to fill this position.
Harold will send out to the clubs information on the awards and asking for nominations. Greg will mention in TCN.

AWARDS BANQUET Mike Kittle
Michael says we need to try and get the price down. Since we ran out of space, maybe we need to look for a larger place. We might consider including in the dealers table price a ticket to the banquet. .

CSNA - Phil Iversen
Phil was appointed to replace Joyce Kuntz after her resignation as representative of the CSNA.. The Symposium was very successful, it was well attended.

EDITOR/PHOTOGRAPHER - Greg Burns
Greg is making arrangements with the printer to make and additional 1000 copies for our table at the ANA Convention. Of the 500 copies given out at the Long Beach Coin Expo, only two resulted in membership applications. Only seven dealers joined NASC. Michael says it’s not worth doing if the members don’t want to do it. Harold suggested a $10 membership for a digital version of the TCN at the show. Tony discounted membership giving away at no benefit because rewards are low. Harold moved a $15 fee for a printed version and a book of 4 tickets strictly at the GSCS and the ANA World’s Fair of Money. Motion carried. We will have an extra 500 copies of the TCN printed. Harold to provide 200 of our past medals stock for the table.
Walter asked what are we doing for the YN’s
Numismatic Portal scanning bulletins and other related numismatic material to host on their site. It is irrevocable permission. CSNA has given their permission to scan the old bulletins they put out before the TCN came about. Greg suggests we have NASC Quarterly’s be approved for scanning. Tony concerned about personal information in the Quarterly’s and finds this plan unacceptable. Walter days ANA does not approve. NASC will not approve scanning of the Quarterly’s.

FINANCE & BUDGET - Tony Micciche Covered earlier in the Treasurers Report.

GOLD BENEFIT DRAWING B Harold Katzman
Harold now has all but one of the coins. He will have that one soon. Tickets have been distributed to all the clubs.

GSCS - Don Berry
Don says the Santa Clara coin show is on the same date as ours. Phil says he talked to the Santa Clara Show promoter about the date conflict but they apparently didn’t care. Because of this conflict, many dealers have not decided which show they will attend. The kitchen has been approved for our use. Don is going to local shows to promote the GSCS. WE had only three exhibits last year, should we continue with exhibits? Phil would like to encourage exhibits. The Awareads Banquet will be in the bourse room. Each dealer will get one complimentary ticket. Greg will put this in the TCN. Don questions the value of a show program. Phil will provide Don with a copy and Don said he would print.
Harold says we need to have more people when the show opens to be able to handle registration, new membership and gold drawing ticket sales, etc. Parking is limited to four hours in the public parking lot next to the Library.

GRIEVANCES - Don Berry Have no grievances.

LEGAL - Mike Kittle
Mike Kittle was appointed as the new legal advisor since he is a practicing attorney and attends the meetings. He is also active in updating our legal status. There is no news on the legal status.
